I know that HookedonMetal\Thundersteel will assume I'm attacking him but the irony of someone whos entire musical taste is based on bands past their prime saying Manowar is past their prime is just too funny.
But the difference is, their ticket prices aren't as extortionate as Manowar's. I saw Diamond Head in California last year when I was visiting my girlfriend out there and they only charged 20 bucks for tickets. And unlike Manowar, they were coming all the way from the UK. Another example... Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse 2012. A two-day traditional/power metal festival. Bands playing... Virgin Steele, Brocas Helm, Blacksmith, Slauter Xstroyes, Damien Thorne, Skull Fist, Borrowed Time, Voltax, Borrowed Time, Wizard, VOZ, Ancient Creation, A Sound of Thunder, Pharoah, and Stone Magnum. Tickets were still only 50 bucks. And the organizers of the fest had to shell out a lot of money to bring Wizard here from Germany. Call me a poser, but I like most of those bands more than Manowar. Therefore, there is no way to justify Manowar charging 75 bucks for tickets.
