Hello. I play drums in a TOOL Tribute band called USEFUL IDIOT. Everyone in our band loves A PERFECT CIRCLE's first release "Mer de Noms" so much, that we would like to perform the record in it's entirety for a couple of shows. Nothing permanent, no long term commitment, just a lot of fun. We generally learn all of the material on our own, then have one or at most two practices to make sure we're all of the same page before our shows. Which is exactly how we'd like this project to work. As of right now, we have the vocals, backing vocals, bass, first guitar, keyboards, and drums covered. We only need one more guitar player to be able to do the record justice. (we do realize that the record has some other instrumentation on it, strings etc.; but we feel that if it's done live with a decent syth, then it will come off just fine.) To clarify, we are not ruling out the possibility of maybe learning some of their other material in the future, we just want to focus on "Mer De Noms" for now. We don't have a set day that we practice on, because like i said, we specifically schedule one or two before each show, so even if you're really busy, we can work around that. (as long as you have the time to learn the material on your own.) So basically, you need to: -Own a guitar, and a rig loud enough to play in a small to medium sized club, and either a pedal board, or a multi-effects processing pedal/rack-mount; there are changing guitar sounds through the entire record, we'd like to emulate that as much as possible. (but if you have everything else, just not enough effects to do the record, we could figure something out.) -Either have transportation, or live within a reasonable distance from Boston. We really want this to happen, so we'd be able to pick you up as long as you're not in the Berkshires or something. -actually have the time, focus, and desire to learn the entire record. Including all of the different effects, of which there are many. -be at least 18 -not be fucking retarded. Thank you for your time, if interested email me here: ouch drummer at gmail dot com (if you can't figure that out.... don't reply) -Jimbo
